Instruction
- Film you or your group performing a special talent during the 2020 International Chinese Statistical Association (ICSA) Symposium via video-recording
- Talents can be on a wide spectrum:
- Singing/Instrument/Chorus
- Art/Painting/Cooking
- Sports/Travel
- Magic/Poetry/Comedy
- Photography/Videography
- Other
Rules
- At least one of the performers per submission is a registered attendee of ICSA 2020; all group performers’ information within the same act, if there are more than one performer, is captured
- Only one act per registered ICSA 2020 attendee
- An entry may consist of either one or more participants providing a group video of performance
- All entries, including lyrics, contents, and costumes, must be respectful and family-friendly by following proper professional conference conducts
- Several experienced judges on the Talent Show Committee will judge based on technical skill, stage presence, quality of performance, and entertainment value
- Multiple awards will be given in each of several board performance category
- By entering this contest, all participants consent to allow the ICSA 2020 Organizing Committee to create the virtual talent show program via video-complication and/or on social media platforms (e.g., congress platform, YouTube, Vimeo, Youku, etc).
Dates and Actions
- Submit an “Intent to Submit” online entry with a description of the act within 150 words by Friday, December 4, 2020 at 11:59 PM, US PST
- Submit a high-quality video by considering backdrop and lighting, created any time within Year 2020
- All videos should be recorded in the horizontal (i.e., landscape) position
- All videos should be in MP4 or MOV format
- The maximal length of each recording is within 5 minutes
- Submit the video to ICSA 2020 Talent Show Committee in MP4 or MOV format (a per invitation link will be provided to you) by December 4, at 11:59 PM, US PST; judging will be done by the Talent Show Committee
- The final show of all pre-recorded acts will be aired during the virtual ICSA’s Got Talent show on Tuesday, December 15, from 8:30 PM to 9:30 PM, US CST, following the ICSA Awards Event
- Prizes will be announced during the talent show broadcasting; selected performers and Talent Show Committee Members will make special live appearance Friday
